Command and Control Systems

 

In order to ensure a regular supply of quality water, command and control systems are necessary, which allow automatic remote control of the water facilities.

 

Control over the water system in Israel requires the establishment of a control center, from which all the command and control systems will be operated   The extensive experience accumulated by EMS Mekorot Projects was required to develop such a system.

 

The data is gathered by the control center using instruments in the field, through the local and remote command and the command, control and operating systems.

 

The data flows in to the command and control center, 24/7, and provides an accurate picture of the situation at the facilities at the various sites.

 

Smart management of water and sewage facilities – EMS offers its customers the most advanced command and control systems. Using such systems, boreholes, pumping stations, industrial pumps, water treatment plants, desalination plants and sewage treatment plants can be efficiently, easily and simply controlled from the control center, saving manpower and operating and maintenance expenses.

All the command and control systems are designed, manufactured and installed using the turnkey method, by the skilled EMS Command and Control Unit. This Unit consists of a team of engineers trained in various fields, such as electrical engineering, communications and computer sciences, who provide training and technical support throughout the process – from design to rollout and production mode.

 

Cathodic Protection against Corrosion

 

EMS Mekorot Projects sets up cathodic protection systems to protect pipes against corrosion, whether located in pipelines or in the pumping stations, using a range of technologies and implementation tools for advanced control.

 

The work is conducted by dedicated cathodic protection teams and includes, inter alia, laying zinc strips, building anode fields and installing rectifiers.

 

Upon the completion of the installation, the cathodic protection system significantly increases the life span of the pipeline and enables continuous operation for dozens of years.

 

 

Monitoring and Protection of Water Facilities
